PLC 2010g Relax, Jarvis is in charge.

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are a fundamental part of the world. PLCs are indirectly involved with your life everyday. Traffic lights change on the way to work? PLC. Airconditioners at work keep the temperature cool? PLC. They are the silent warrior behind closed doors working to exceptionally high standards. Learn more about PLCs!

Update

It is here!

2010G have finally finished a rack to house all of the planned hardware for the project. With this milestone reached the real work can now start.

Software

PLC Interpreter

As PLCs are commonly programmed with a highly logical language called ladder logic, the PLC CPU must be able to interpret the ladder logic and provide real time debugging information.

Hardware

To Switch Mode?

While it has already been decided to go switch mode, is this always the best option? Sure LDO Linear Regulators are inefficient, but the quality of voltage is significantly better.

Communications

Who will make the cut??

Profi Bus, CanBus, RS232, RS485, Ethernet. These are just a very small selection of available protocols and hardware stacks being considered for Jarvis. But how do you choose which ones will be supported?
