The rack is an important piece of hardware for this project. It is the launch pad for the entire hardware design. The rack will house every piece of hardware designed.
The rack was completed on the 19.8.2010 by Michael and Kathleen.
The power supply is the heart of the PLC, It provides all the modules. Taking the input voltage of 230v AC down to three output voltages 3.3V, 5V and 12V is purpose of the
power supply.

The Control Module is the brain of the PLC, this houses the main controller, memory and commnications ports. The Control Module uses the Atmel XMega256-D3 Microcontroller
